15 Months…

Mia had her 15 month old check up today. (OMG SHE IS FIFTEEN MONTHS OLD ALREADY!!!) She is doing well. As always, she hated: being weighed, measured (both head and body) & her heart and lungs checked. But she did stay put for her eye and ears. Gotta love her diva-ness.

Her stats are:
Weight: ~20 lbs (10%)
Height: 32 in (90%)
Head: 17 3/4 (25%)

The doctor told her something I will never ever hear in my lifetime ( 😉 ): She is tall and skinny. 😛 She sure is. Love that girl.

I also mentioned that Mia’s had a slight cold for a few weeks. So when she checked her ears, she right away said she had a small ear infection(!!!). So she was prescribed some antibotics. Since she is sick, she got out of her shots. But when we go for her followup in two weeks, she won’t.

Next appointment: March 3.

6th Month Appointment…

Gosh, she’s already 6 months old (and almost two weeks).

Her stats:

Weight 16lb 3 oz (60%)
Height 27 in (90%)  😯
Head 16 3/4 in (50%)

She got two shots and an oral. She did fantastic. No crying until the very end and I think because she couldn’t move since the nurse was holding her down.

She can now sit unassisted.  She can push up on her arms.  She really doesn’t roll over yet.  In fact, she just rolled from tummy to back last night.  And I think it was just a fluke.  lol  I am so not in a hurry for her to be mobile so it is on her terms when she wants to hit those milestones.  And as you know, she is eating cereals (rice and oatmeal), fruits (bananas, applesauce, peaches) and veggies (carrots, sweet potatoes, green beans).

Otherwise, she is doing what she needs to do and so are we. Next appointment: 3 months (Aug 22).

First Doctor’s Visit…

For Mia at 8 days old. This is her first trip since getting home 5 days ago.

The doctor wanted to check her her weight and other various body checks.

Mia is gaining weight wonderfully!!! She was 7lb 4oz when born. The lowest weight at the hospital was 6lb 6oz. When she left the hospital on Friday (Nov. 14), she was 6lb 11oz. 5 days later, she is at 7lb 6oz. Yippee!! And also no shots this visit.

3 Year Stats…

Diego went to the doctor today. He did really good. He didn’t need any shots, not until next year. He had his blood pressure taken for the first time. It was like 90/55 or something like that. His weight is 32 1/2 lbs (60-70%) and he is 40″ tall (90%). He did get a finger prick to check his iron levels. His iron is a bit low but she recommended Flintstone vitamins with iron and cereal fortified with iron.

So his next visit is in one year and he will have to go back to get a flu shot later this year. He is growing quite well. =)
