37 Weeks…

Gained 3 pounds from last week. 😯 So now I am 171 lbs. I think it was due to my birthday dinner but I doubt my doctor agrees. I can’t remember my blood pressure but it is normal. My belly is 37 inches so the baby did grow some more. Cervix is still closed but I am 50% effaced. The baby has moved lower so that good news. But my doctor did tell me that it will be a while before the baby gets here. Heart beat still in the 140’s. My blood work came back. I am strep B positive again. So another IV whether I like it or not.

Next appointment: Oct. 24.

I’m 34…

TODAY! Wow, another year has passed. Happy birthday to me! It is time to reminisce. (Can you tell I’m getting older? 😆 )

Let’s see…

  • I had my gallbladder removed on Halloween.
  • Took Diego to Disney World for the first time in November/December.
  • I got eczema in January.
  • I started running again in Feb/March.
  • Leap Day happened.
  • Diego was officially potty trained in March.
  • I found out I was pregnant in April.
  • I ran the Corporate Challenge at almost 16 weeks in May.
  • One more race (Run for the Zoo 5K) in June.
  • Diego turned 3 in July.
  • Watched the Summer Olympics in August.
  • We did our annual apple picking trip in September.
  • And the Cubs disappointed me (and everyone else) AGAIN in October.
  • There were lot of other things along the year that I didn’t include (our trip to Wisconsin Dells in May, the day that the lake in the Dells drained, watched the 3rd of July fireworks, Diego’s numerous birthday parties, etc). But over all, I had a good year. Let’s see what this year will hold for me. 🙂

    36 Weeks…

It was on Friday. I have been out all weekend so I haven’t had a chance to update everyone and I know everyone just sitting on the edge of their seats. 😆

I gained two pounds from four weeks ago. So now I am at 169 lbs. Not sure why only two because I have been on an ice cream binge lately. 😆

My bp was 118/69 (or something like that) so it is normal. Doctor measured my belly and it was 35 inches. Baby’s heart rate was in the 140’s. He checked my cervix and it is still closed. He thinks it will be a while before the baby comes. Everything looks normal and he is very happy about my progress. I also got some blood work done. I’ll probably get my results on Friday.

Now my appointments are weekly. 😯

    Sigh…

I was just waiting for a few days to pass before writing this post. The bad news: Cubs lost. They just collapsed. So, so sad! The good news: I’ll be getting a refund for my tickets. 😆 It is just so heart wrenching that the team couldn’t even win ONE, just one. That is all. Make us Cub fans a little happy. But no, they just collapsed. At least the Sox didn’t make it either (at least they won ONE game) so we don’t have hear it from anyone.

Well, at least we still have the Bears. GO BEARS!

    Cubs…

Better win the next three games so they can go to the NLCS series. Why you ask? Because are a team that is capable of doing such a thing. And because I scored some tickets for game one of the NLCS at Wrigley.

Go Cubs go! And begging that you win the next three games to win the division and we are going to party like it is 1908!!!

    October Thoughts…

  • My favorite month started.
  • My birthday is in 15 days.
  • The Cubs begin the playoffs today.
  • The high today is 56 degrees.
  • And Diego wanted to wear shorts today.
  • At least it is sunny.
  • My favorite holiday, Halloween, is in 30 days.
  • I’ll be spending the rest of this month pregnant.
