I was trying to get Diego to go to sleep last night. So I was giving him eskimo kisses. He loved them! I would look at him and “kissed” and he would crack up. Then I would look away, Diego would turn my face so I can give him another “kiss”. It was the cutest thing.
I love being a mommy! *sigh*
We went to Old Navy last night. ALL THE CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS WERE OUT!!! WTH? I am very disgusted. Can’t they wait after Halloween is over? Geez!
So we headed out to Cudahy, WI on Sunday. We went t&ting. It was much fun although Diego really did not know what was going on. He occasionally said bye and waved his hand but nothing else. I guess you can’t do much when you are sitting in a stroller. 😆 He did really well. His little pumpkin was filled up with goodies. Hopefully on Halloween day, the weather won’t be too bad and we can take him around the ‘hood.
We had a great time at the zoo on Saturday, October 21. It was Brookfield Zoo’s Boo! at the Zoo event. It was fun. Diego dressed up as a leopard. He looked really cute. Check him and his daddy out!

Wow, I can’t believe I am 32. 😆 I keep thinking I’m 23. I don’t feel like I am 32 at all. I guess that is a good thing. Happy birthday to me!

It was a beautiful Sunday morning. It was great running weather. The course is very flat, no hills. This is probably why we finished it in 37:46 even though we took a small walking break to have some water. Diego and Eric were there to cheer us on. They saw us between the mile mark and the half way point. Then we saw them right before the finish line. That made me smile! Now Manda is trying to get me to run another 5k on November 5. I have over three weeks to think about it. 🙂
I know this is few days late but it is better late than never.
October 1 was a beautiful day. It was in low 70s and sunny. So we decided to go apple picking at Apple Holler. It is about an hour north of Chicago. We had a great time. We had the breakfast buffet there. Diego really liked the cinnamon apple oatmeal. He couldn’t get enough. After breakfast, we went apple picking. We rented a small wagon for Diego. The best $2 ever spent. We picked Golden Delicious, Red Delicious, Jonathons, and Northern Spys. Afterward, Diego knocked out in the car on the way home. It was a good day! Friday – It has been a long time since I had gone out and partied. We went out for the end of the year softball party. I had a little bit to drink, danced, and had adult conversation (well, if you consider yelling a “conversation”). Then we went to eat at a 24 hour diner. We then went to Becky’s birthday party for a little while. We left at 1:40 am. We were in bed by 2 am.
Saturday – Got up at 7:00. Diego was my alarm clock. 🙂 I had to get Diego ready to go to My Little Gym. Eric and Diego had breakfast, I had none. Then we left. Diego and Eric went to the gym and I went to catch the bus. It was a beautiful day to go running. The race started at 9:55. There were lots of people there so the beginning of the race of a little bit crowded. But once everyone spaced out it was fine. I ran the whole thing. My time was 37:18. I was very surprised because I thought my time was going to be over 40 minutes. I saw Diego and Eric waiting for me at the finish line. That made me very happy.
Sunday – We basically just hung out at home. Saw the Bears beat the Lions 34 – 7. Go Bears!!
Today there was a family fair at the park next door. We had gotten an postcard from our alderman,Daniel Solis, inviting us to this event. So we went. When we got there, I signed up for a free raffle. They were raffling off four bikes and a pair of roundtrip airplane tickets. Just as I finished entering, they raffled of a bike. My number was #239 and the number they picked was #240. Bummer! So they announced that at 1:30 they were going to raffle off the rest of the prizes. So we went home since it was getting cold. I told Eric I wanted to come back to check out the drawing ‘cuz you just never know.
So I went back. They raffled off the prizes. I won the tickets!!! They are two roundtrip tickets within the continental US from Southwest Airlines. Now I have to call the alderman’s office on Monday to see how I pick the tickets/vouchers. I am so happy! I have never won anything like this. Now we need to figure out were we want to go!
