Eczema Update…

I haven’t posted anything for a while since nothing new has come up.  I am still itchy and scratchy.  My scalp is so dry it is not even funny.  I could probably not wash my head for a week and no one would notice.  My face, neck and hands are flaking/peeling.  Lotion helps for a bit but it doesn’t really help in the long term.  The only way I can describe how I feel is when you get a really bad sunburn and then it starts healing your skin feels like it is tightening up.  Well, that is how I feel.  At least it is bearable now. 🙂

Eczema…

So I when to see a dermatologist today and that is what I was diagnosed with. The lady checked me out and after talking to me about my history (foods I’ve eaten lately, dry skin history, etc), she wrote it down in big capital letters and underlined it. 🙂

So, I have to avoid citrus, tomatoes, caffeine, sugar, white flour and milk. Need to soak in Dead Sea Salt baths for 15-20 min daily. She suggest to take Flaxseed Oil Capsules (1000 mg) 3 times a day during winter and to take acidophilus capsules once a day during breakfast. She gave me three (!!!) prescriptions: Zyrtec, lac-hydrin cream, and some other ointment. I also have to get some blood work done so there isn’t anything else going on.

Goodness, when I had my gallbladder issues, the list wasn’t this extensive. 😀

I already have the salts, I just need to get the prescriptions filled. All my coworkers are relieved I am not contagious.

Rash, Rash, Rash…

I’ve had a rash since yesterday.  And I have no idea what it is.  It started on my neck.  And now it is on my chest, upper back, neck, shoulder, face, and my left ear.  I have no symptoms what so ever: no fever, no sores in my mouth, no cough, nothing.  It doesn’t really itch but I want to scratch so I think it is just mental.  I am going to get some Benedryl to apply and hope it goes away soon.  I hope it doesn’t lead up to anything.

Passport Mailed…

I had to check to see when my passport expired since we are planning to travel in May.  It is expiring on May 10, 2008.  So I got my pictures taken, filled out the application, wrote a check out, put everything in a padded envelope, took it to the post office and mailed it.  I need it before April 30.

Any guesses as to when I will get my passport?

Freaking Cold…

It is 18 degrees outside but it feels like 9 degrees with the wind chill factor.  Why don’t people bundle up?  I saw a bunch of people not wearing a hat and/or had their coat unzipped this morning as I was hurrying to work.  It is not that hard people!  As long as I am nice and warm, I will just chuckle at those people. Hee, hee!

Diego Funny…

I had bought Diego these Baby Einstein Alphabooks. They are really cute. It has 26 four page books, each a letter of the alphabet. So I started with the A book and asked Diego what letter it was and he said “G.” Fine, I really wasn’t expecting to know the letters. He said the same thing for the B, C, D, E and F books when I asked him what letter they were. All of them were “G.” So I read him the G book and I asked him what letter it was. I was expecting him to get at least one right. He answered “A.” Crazy kid! 😛

First Somersault…

Diego did his first unassisted forward roll (somersault) at Little Gym! He did it on one of those wedge thingies. We were just so proud. We are going to sign him up for the next class. He is moving up from Beast (19 months to 2.5 years) to Super Beast (2.5 years to 3 years) class. He started as a Bird (10 to 18 months) first. *sniff, sniff*

Road Trip Baby…

We are finally planning a trip to Mexico.  Yahhooo!  We are planning to go May 1 thru May 21. And yes, we are driving there.  I can’t wait to go.  It will be mango season which a big reason why we are going then.  Plus it is still the dry season so rain won’t ruin our outings.  So now, I have to renew my passport since it is expires sometime in May.

I am just giddy thinking about it. 😀

54 Degrees…

That was the temperature at 10 am today. So what did we do? We went to the zoo. It was cloudy and bit windy but it was a a really nice morning to go. It hit 60 degrees today which broke the record of 54 degrees. Crazy considering it is January 6. It should be about 58 degrees tomorrow.

But we mustn’t forget it is still winter: It should be in the 30’s by Friday. 🙂
