Happy May Day…

It is a good way to start the month. Today we found out we won a Little Gym party!!! Since we did early registration for the summer classes, we were entered in a raffle for either a party or a spa day. This is really cool.

The problem is who should we invite. We just want to keep it in the two year old range and about 10 kids, including Diego. We are still planning a family/friends birthday party so hopefully no one will feel left out. We shall see!

Shoe Shopping…

We had noticed that Diego’s Geox Jfang8 shoes were getting small for him. So we when to a new children’s shoe store that opened up by us. It is called Tippy Toes. Just opened Friday, April 27. They have a two month guarantee. If they don’t fit within two months, we can just return them and get a new pair in exchange. LOVE that!

We bought him three pairs of shoes. He got a pair of black Crocs as his house shoes, a pair of Tsukihoshi tennis shoes and some Ecco Hide And Seek Teeter Totter sandals.

He wore the tennis shoes home. He kept checking them out. The great thing about those is that they are machine washable. Just take the sole out and throw them in the wash. I like that very much.

Now he is all set for the summer!

Cloth Diapering Part Duex…

Well, here I go again. This time the culprit is this cute Fuzzi Bunz Print. It is a blue Zoo Print diaper. I am still having issues with finding a good nighttime diaper. I am giving this diaper a chance. I only ordered one this time around with some extra inserts. I have a feeling I will need to double the insert.

As for the BG 2.0s, I have sold one, another is pending and the last one is still looking for a new owner. It’s not over. 🙂

Beautiful Saturday…

It was gorgeous today. It hit 76 degrees, sunny and clear. Our morning start early.

We went for a run. I ran about 2.6 miles and Eric ran/walked the 2.6 miles. Mostly ran but he stopped for a bit, but I want to add that he was pushing Diego on a jogging stroller and I wasn’t.

Afterwards, we went for a cool down walk. Went home and showered. After a while, Diego took a nap. We figured he was going to sleep for about 1 hour. Nope, he slept for almost three hours. 😯 He hasn’t done that in our presence in a long time. I was able to take an hour nap.

After he woke up, we went to the playground. Diego always has a good time. He like to play with the older kids, 3-5 year olds. Good thing they know him because they have patience with him.

Once we were done there, we walked to Cold Stone Creamery. I had the Berry Berry Berry Good and Eric had the Cookie Mintser. We shared with Diego and he loved it. He kept going from me to Eric back to me and so forth. 😀

After that, we walked around the neighborhood. We went into the UIC fields and watched the ending of the Women’s Softball game. The last swing of the game produced a three run home run. Very exciting!!

When we got home, we watched Blue’s Clues and Jack’s Big Music Show. Then Diego took a bath and off to bed he soon went.

It was a beautiful day and tomorrow it promises to be another (it supposed to hit 78 degrees).

Bye Cloth Diapers…

I am slowing selling the bum Genius 2.0’s. I have to go the post office today and mail the twilight one to a lady in Canada. The grasshopper one is on hold for another lady. So, now I have the white one left. They are really cute but just too bad it did not work out for us.

Once Diego is ready to potty train, I will check out the trainers. I am not sure how they work (or should work) but I will do more research before buying anything.

Terrible Twos…

And so it begins. We have noticed that for the past few days if he doesn’t get what he wants right then and there, a huge ear piercing scream follows. He would throw little tantrums here and there before but nothing like this. He still can’t verbalize things that he wants so I can see the frustration. He just takes your finger and tugs you until he takes you to what he wants. Getting there is fine but trying to figure out what he wants just takes a little bit more time which does not make Diego happy.

Eric asked me how long will this phase be. And we both answered at the same time: Forever!

😯

I think we both hit it on the head with that one.
